Desludging is critical to having cleaner water. Over time, sludge, sediments and residuals can accumulate in lagoons, ponds or lakes, reducing capacity and treatment efficacy. Lambourne Environmental helps keep wastewater lagoons and lakes in top shape through professional desludging.
Our tractor operated lagoon pumps are an ideal desludging tool for smaller lagoons. These pumps will efficiently remove effluent water sitting on top of the sludge blanket. Once the sludge blanket is exposed, a powerful nozzle on the pump mixes and agitates the sludge into a slurry which the lagoon pump then pumps out of the cell.
Our floating Hydraulic Dredges are ideal for desludging larger lagoons or bodies of water. The floating dredge pumps sludges located below the water surface to the surface and then moves them to the shore through a floating pipeline.
For large lagoons that require mixing prior to desludging, we have lagoon crawlers that can mix and agitate the sludge blanket into a pumpable slurry. The lagoon crawler is an amphibious moving pump that is outfitted with floatation pontoons. Remotely operated, the lagoon crawler drives itself into the cell, reaching areas untouched by other equipment, ensuring complete mixing prior to pumping.
